It is very cold and wet making the track very muddy and slippery in places. The first riders are off the 1st leg now and are well into the 2nd leg. The vet gate into hold vetting is a bit congested at the moment as there are so many people together, but this is expected to reduce as time passes.

Post Ride and Best Conditioned Horse Workouts

The Best Conditioned Horse Workout were being conducted and the first track reports were coming through from riders. Many were saying that this was one of the hardest rides they have ever done. This was not due to a bad track as such, but very difficult weather conditions. The ride organisers are reported to have performed well under the given conditions.
