| AERA Distance Register and Distance Awards 2011 |
Click here for Distance Scroll Application Form: MS Word | PDF These awards are presented by the AERA, not the State divisions. The longer distance awards are presented annually at the Tom Quilty, in whichever state the ride is held. Usually if a horse achieves its distance prior to December 31 in the previous year, the award will be made at the following Quilty. If you are not attending the Quilty that particular year, please advise Jo McMah as to where you wish to be presented with your horse’s certificate. The 3,000km and over scrolls in particular take time to prepare, and so there is a cut off point to allow enough time. The cut off this year will be 31 July. Please contact Kerry Spratt (details below) if you believe your horse is due for a distance award based on achievement up to the end of 2010. The following awards are available: 300 and 800kms 1,600km 3,000 km 5,000km The 1,600, 3,000 and 5,000km awards were previously made for distance achieved in only one riding division. In 2006 the AERA decided that on application, scrolls can be issued to horses that have completed a total distance of 1,600, 3,000 or, 5,000 kms irrespective of riding Division.
